The Central Illinois Geocaching Association (CIGA) has been formed to promote Geocaching in the Central Illinois area. The club invites all to participate and welcomes attendance by everyone. CIGA membership is not required to attend events or use the CIGA discussion board. The meetings to date have been held in Normal, IL since it is a central location for many members. CIGA currently has members from Bloomington, Decatur, Peoria, Washington, Pontiac, Champaign, Springfield and many area communities. Future meetings may be held in other cities. CIGA at MWGB 2007 Discussion Board Please sign on and register yourself as a member. We will be using the email addresses to send out announcements in the future. You may also select the 'Always notify me of replies:' option in your profile to receive an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. We encourage all central Illinois Geocachers to use the Discussion Board to maintain communications about events and caches in our area. There is no charge to use this discussion board and you do not have to be a "dues paying" member of CIGA.

Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Through Geocacher's volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources! Learn more at www.geocaching.com/CITO. Thanks to this year's sponsor, DeLorme, for supporting Geocaching and the Cache In Trash Out 2008 efforts! For more information about DeLorme, visit: www.delorme.com/geocachingfun
Support the worldwide clean-up effort: - Organize a local event. Event planning resources can be found at www.geocaching.com/CITO. - Volunteer for an already established event. View the calendar of events to find an event near you. - Generate public awareness by contacting local media outlets. Add your CITO event to your local community calendar of events.
